ABOUT US

The Dyas Lishman Dance Academy was establish in 2018 starting with just 26 students. Over the past 7 years we've grown from strength to strength and now have over 130 students that dance with us weekly.

We are based in South Warrington in two spacious venues, Whitley Village Hall & St Mary Magdalenes In Appleton. 

​

We are 2 highly qualified young principals with a passion for dance and sharing our knowledge with the next generation of ambitious dancers.

​

Both principals are qualified with the I.S.T.D (Imperial Society of Teacher of Dancing) who is one of the worlds leading dance examinations board. We take part in Ofqual accredited exams every year where each student will get the opportunity to build on their knowledge and progress onto higher exams attaining UCAS points towards university if this is a route they may choose.

From 2026 we will hold 2 shows a year in the amazing Brindley Theatre in Runcorn. All students from the age of 2 upwards get the opportunity to perform on the stage in a professional theatre. We think it's important for every students no matter how young to have their time to shine and have the time of the life whilst doing so! (The minis are always guaranteed to steal the show)

In 2024 we took a group of 76 dancers and families to dance in Disneyland Paris! After having the most amazing time in 2022 we decided we'd do it again! The Dancers absolutely loved it and we can't for the next adventure.

Here are DLDA we are one big dance family. As principals we are committed to knowing every student as if they are our own. We create a friendly and welcoming enviroment which in turn gets the best out of our students. We are a big believer in our older students being role models to our younger students and they get the chance to interact with each other at every possible opportunity.
